H.M.S. Penarth was one of one hundred and fourteen Hunt Class minesweepers completed for the Royal Navy.
Service
Penarth joined the Third Minesweeping Flotilla in June, 1918 – initially on loan from the Clyde. She was under command of Senior Officer, North Sea Fast Sweeping Flotilla Basil Richard Brooke.
