H.M.S. Carstairs was one of one hundred and fourteen Hunt Class minesweepers completed for the Royal Navy.
Service
Carstairs was re-commissioned with Reserve Crew on 28 January, 1920.[6]
In January, 1921, she was part of the Portsmouth Navigation School with reserve complement, one of three Hunt class minesweepers supporting Dryad.[7]
Carstairs re-commissioned with a reduced complement on 8 September, 1924, tender to Thunderer.[8]
On 27 October 1930, Carstairs left for a cadet training cruise in the Channel under the command of Lieutenant-Commander Edward Dallas Marston.[9]
The ship was re-commissioned on 1 November, 1932.[10]
She was transferred to Dockyard Control on 5 June, 1934.[11]
