Admiral of the Fleet Andrew Browne Cunningham, First Viscount Cunningham, K.T., G.C.B., O.M., D.S.O., (7 January, 1883 – 12 June, 1963) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Cunningham was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 31 March, 1904.[1]
Cunningham was appointed in command of the destroyer Scorpion on 10 January, 1911.[2]
Cunningham was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 31 March, 1912.[3]
Cunningham was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1915.[4]
Cunningham was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1919.[5]
On 29 March, 1918, he was appointed in command of the destroyer Termagant.[6]
On 11 May, 1926, he was appointed in command of the light cruiser Calcutta.[7]
