H.M.S. Shakespeare was one of five flotilla leaders of the Shakespeare class.
Service
Shakespeare was recommissioned at Port Edgar on 2 October, 1920.[5]
She recommissioned at Port Edgar with Reserve Crew on 27 September, 1923.[6]
Reduced to Reserve on 2 December, 1925.[7]
Commissioned on 1 April, 1928.[8] By mid-1931, she was in the Reserve Fleet at the Nore,[9] remaining there until at least early 1933.[10]
In mid-June, 1936, she was one of five destroyers and leaders at Rosyth on the list for disposal.[11]
