U.S.S. Sterett was one of ten Paulding class destroyers completed for the U.S. Navy in 1910-11.
Construction
Sterett was laid down at Quincy, Massachusetts by Fore River Shipbuilding on 22 March, 1909 and launched on 12 May, 1910.
Service
Sterett was commissioned on 15 December, 1910 with Lieutenant Robert L. Berry in command.
