U.S.S. Sicard was one of one hundred and fifty-six Clemson Class destroyers completed for the U.S. Navy.
Service
She commissioned on 9 June, 1920 with Lieutenant James K. Davis in temporary command, to be relieved nine days later by Lieutenant Commander Grattan C. Dichman.
On 12 May 1935, she collided with Lea on night exercises outside Pearl Harbour. One man died.
