U.S.S. Lawrence was one of one hundred and fifty-six Clemson Class destroyers completed for the U.S. Navy.
Service
Lawrence was launched 10 July 1920 by the New York Shipbuilding Corporation and commissioned on 18 April, 1921 with Lieutenant Commander John H. Wellbrock in command.
In early 1904, she was one of six destroyers in the Second Torpedo Flotilla.[7]
