H.M.S. Crane was one of forty "C" class destroyers built for the Royal Navy — a "30 knotter".
Service
In mid-1913, she was serving in the Sixth Destroyer Flotilla.[7]
Lieutenant R.N.R. in Command Percy N. Fletcher was relieved of command in March 1918 after grounding the destroyer.[8]
By May 1919, Crane was among 33 obsolete ships awaiting sale.[9]
