H.M.S. G 7 was one of fourteen "G" class submarines completed in Britain during the Great War, intended primarily to hunt German U-boats.
Service
It is not clear what caused G 7 to disappear in the North Sea as the Great War was nearing its end.

- Lieutenant-Commander Geoffrey Warburton, 15 May, 1916 – 14 November, 1917
- Lieutenant in Command Maurice W. Bailward, 14 November, 1917 – 21 November, 1917
- Lieutenant in Command Charles A. C. Russell, 11 October, 1918[7] – 1 November, 1918[8][9] (killed when vessel lost under his command)
