The Ninth Submarine Flotilla was a formation of submarines of the Royal Navy formed in 1912.[1] Prior to February, 1914, it was known as the Lamlash Submarine Flotilla.[2]

History

Early in the war, the flotilla was based at Lamlash, on the Firth of Clyde, north of the Irish Sea. At some point between July and September 1916, it was re-designated as the Seventh Submarine Flotilla.
