H.M.S. Mallard was one of twelve Forester Class gunboats completed for the Royal Navy.
Service
Commissioned at Devonport on 7 March, 1876 under Lieutenant and Commander Alfred W. Warry.[3]
Re-commissioned at Bermuda on 15 November, 1884.[4]
