Commander James Gordon Ede, R.N., Retired (10 March, 1854 – 5 March, 1914) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Ede was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 8 December, 1879.
Ede incurred Their Lordships' severe displeasure when he was found to have had his wife aboard Niger for a "continuous period" in December, 1894.
Ede was placed on the Retired List on 10 March, 1899 and promoted to the rank of Commander (retired) on 20 March, 1899.
