Commander (retired) Cecil Craster Mowbray Usher, (21 December, 1896 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Usher served in Hampshire until March 1915, when he was appointed to Warspite where he served until April, 1916. He next served in Canterbury until until December. He was then appointed to Mentor from mid-January 1917.

Usher was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 May, 1918.

Usher was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 May, 1936.

World War II

Usher placed on the Retired List due to age at the rank of Commander on 21 December, 1941. Despite this, he continued to serve in a variety of appointments.
