Lieutenant-Commander (retired) Frank Collins Marston, R.N. (14 December, 1867 – 1 December, 1948) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Marston's birth date was first, wrongly, recorded as 14 March, 1867.
Marston was promoted to the rank of Gunner on 8 February, 1896. In August 1897 following a Court-Martial for hazarding Thrasher, Marston was reprimanded and dismissed the ship.
Marston was appointed in command of the first-class torpedo boat T.B. 89 on 9 March, 1912.[1]
Marston was promoted to the rank of Chief Gunner on 1 April, 1912.
Marston was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 May, 1918.
Appointed in command of Flintshire on 22 January, 1921 until he was placed on the Retired List due to age on 14 March, 1922, Marston was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander (retired) on 1 May, 1926.
