Lieutenant-Commander William Jardine Burnie, R.N., Retired (5 May, 1923 – 14 February, 1931) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Burnie was the son of surgeon W. Gilchrist Burnie.
Burnie was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 November, 1915.
Burnie was appointed Lieutenant in Command of the patrol boat PC 72 on 14 September, 1918.[1]
Post-War
Burnie was placed on the Retired List as medically unfit on 10 July, 1922.
Burnie was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander (retired) on 15 November, 1923.
