Commander R.N.R. (retired) Francis Miners, R.D. (13 September, 1893 – ) was an officer in the Royal Naval Reserve.

Life & Career

Miners was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 8 May, 1918.[1]

After a month in temporary command of the destroyer Crane, Miners was appointed Lieutenant, R.N.R. in Command of the destroyer Fawn on 11 October, 1918.[2][3]

Miners was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 8 May, 1926.[4]

Miners was replaced on the Retired List on 17 October, 1928 and promoted to the rank of Commander R.N.R. on 13 September, 1933.[5]

In 1948, he reported himself living in Flamouth, and available for volunteer service in the event of a mobilisation, being then the Director and Marine Superintendent of the Coasting Steamship Company.[6]
