H.M.S. Forester was one of twenty-nine destroyers of the Acheron class.

Radio

She was one of 18 Acheron class destroyers fitted with W/T in 1912, becoming one of 123 destroyers so far fitted with Destroyer Sets.[7]

Service

In early 1913, she was with the First Destroyer Flotilla, attached to First Fleet.[8]

Lt. Cdr. Legge was admonished for allowing too large an alteration of course after Forester collided with the destroyer Archer in 1915.[9]

After the Battle of Jutland, Forester was one of eight destroyers detached from 1 D.F. to screen the Third Battle Squadron. This gaggle was to again be designated as 1 D.F. in October 1916, and Forester stayed with them until joining the Fourth Destroyer Flotilla in July 1917.

Forester reduced to C. & M. Party at Devonport 15 October, 1919.[10]
