H.M.S. Fantome was one of six Fantome Class composite screw sloops completed for the Royal Navy.
Service
Re-commissioned at Bermuda on 25 April, 1883.[5]
In 1887, she was inactive in Devonport.
She was temporarily loaned to the Australian Navy during the Great War.
