Rear-Admiral (retired) Algernon Henry Chester Candy, C.B.E. (19 May, 1877 – 29 April, 1959) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Candy was appointed in command of the first-class torpedo boat T.B. 76 on 15 June, 1897 for Manoeuvres.[1]
Candy was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 June, 1898.[2]
Candy was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1909.[3]
Candy was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1916.[4]
Candy was appointed in command of the destroyer Boadicea in September, 1916.
Post-War
In January, 1922, he was appointed in command of the light cruiser Caledon.
Candy was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 1 July, 1927.[5]
