Kenneth Douglas Worsley Macpherson
Rear-Admiral Kenneth Douglas Worsley Macpherson, R.N. (3 November, 1883 – ) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Born in Clifton, Gloucester, the son of the Secretary of Clifton College, Macpherson placed sixth of sixty-one cadets passing out of Britannia in August 1899, earning 1768 of 2250 possible marks.[1][2]
Macpherson was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 April, 1905.[3]
Macpherson was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 1 April, 1913.[4]
Macpherson was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1917.[5]
Macpherson was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1925.[6]
On 6 August, 1928, a Court Martial adjudged him to be dismissed from Victory and to be reprimanded, after a charge of having negligently or by default suffering H.M.S. Dauntless to be stranded.[7]
Macpherson was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 20 June, 1936 and placed on the Retired List the following day.[8]
