Captain (retired) Humphrey Robert Sandwith, (19 June, 1894 – 13 November, 1955) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
The son of Dr. F. M. Sandwith, a Doctor of Medicine.
Sandwith was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant with an adjusted seniority of 15 February, 1916.[1]
Sandwith was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 February, 1924.[2]
Sandwith was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1929.[3]
World War II
Sandwith was placed on the Retired List on account of age with the rank of Captain on 19 June, 1943.[4]
Reverted 5 June, 1946.[5]
