H.M.S. Tara was originally T.S.S. Hibernia, a passenger steamer which worked in the 1900s around Ireland.
She was requisitioned by the Royal Navy upon the outbreak of the war for use as an armed boarding steamer. She was sunk by U 35 off the coast of Egypt.
