Francis Henry Shortt

Vice-Admiral (retired) Francis Henry Shortt, (1822 – 1881) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Shortt was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 22 December, 1843.[1]

Shortt was promoted to the rank of Commander on 10 January, 1854.[2]

Shortt was promoted to the rank of Captain on 24 February, 1858.[3]

Shortt was placed on the Retired List on 11 July, 1874 and was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 11 December, 1875.[4]

Shortt was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral on 22 January, 1880.[5]
