Colin Wauchope

Captain Colin Wauchope, C.B.E., D.S.C. (10 November, 1900 – 26 May, 1945) served in the Royal Navy. His name was either originally "Wauhope", or was mistakenly offered as such until clearly corrected in his service record.
Life & Career
The son of retired East India Merchant Edward Wauhope.
Wauchope was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 June, 1921.
Wauchope was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 June, 1929.
Wauchope was promoted to the rank of Commander in 1934.
World War II
Wauchope was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1942.
Appendicitis.
Suffering from tuberculosis, in 1944 he was deemed unfit for further naval service. He did not seem to have left the service, however, before he died in 1945.
