Charles Burston Rosenthal

Sub-Lieutenant Charles Burston Rosenthal, (5 February, 1899 – ) served in the Royal Navy and the Royal Australian Navy.

Life & Career

Rosenthal was appointed to the Vanguard on 14 February, 1917. He was fortunate to have been lent to the destroyer Partridge before Vanguard blew up just before midnight on 9 July 1917, being then one of approximately twenty-four men who escaped with their lives.

He may have been appointed to P35 from August, 1917 until some time later that year.

Rosenthal was promoted to the rank of Sub-Lieutenant on 15 January, 1918.

He transferred to the Royal Australian Navy on 26 March, 1918.
