Commander (retired) Thomas Stanley Lane Fox-Pitt, O.B.E. (27 November, 1897 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Served in Lord Nelson from August, 1914 to 11 December, 1915, and then in the light cruiser Chatham until 25 February, 1916.

Served in Inflexible from 3 March, 1916 through 8 October, 1916, including at the Battle of Jutland. Late in the war, he trained in submarines and likely served in several.

Fox-Pitt was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 December, 1918.

He retired on 3 November, 1922.

Fox-Pitt was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 December, 1926.

World War II

Initially served in Cape Town.

Fox-Pitt was promoted to the rank of Commander on 3 September, 1945.
