Vice-Admiral Ralph Stuart Wykes-Sneyd, D.S.O., ( – ) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Wykes-Sneyd was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 July, 1903.[1]

Wykes-Sneyd was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1914.[2]

Though he had been working at the Plans Division since 8 February, Wykes-Sneyd was specially promoted to the rank of Captain in recognition of operations on the Belgian coast on 23 April, 1918. The next day he was appointed in command of the monitor General Craufurd.[3]

Post-War

Wykes-Sneyd was appointed in command of the light cruiser Comus in November, 1921.

He was promoted to Rear-Admiral on the day he retired: 2 August, 1929.[4]

He was advanced to the rank of Vice-Admiral on the Retired List on 31 July, 1934.[5]
