H.M.S. Shikari was one of sixty-seven "S" class destroyers built for the Royal Navy as the Great War was ending.

She was completed in 1924 at Chatham.[6]

Service

In early 1926, she was operating with the Atlantic Fleet.[7]

Reduced to Reserve on 19 February, 1927.[8]

She was re-commissioned on 8 November, 1927.[9] She paid off into Reserve at Portsmouth on 10 November, 1931.[10]

Re-commissioned at Portsmouth on 1 June, 1933.[11]

Re-commissioned on 20 April, 1937.[12]
