Commander (retired) Charles Ernest Maconochie, C.B.E., R.N. (27 January, 1886 – 19 April, 1952) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Born in Edinburgh.

Maconochie was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 June, 1907.

Resigned 24 May 1910, Maconochie was invited to join the Emergency List, which he did, only to proceed to Singapore and eventually resign on 1 December, 1911.

Maconochie was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 June, 1915.

Post-War

Maconochie was granted the rank of Commander (retired) in recognition of war service on 6 March, 1919, dated 11 November 1918.
