Arthur Maurice Yate Dane

Commander (retired) Arthur Maurice Yate Dane, R.N. (17 November, 1885 – 27 August, 1953) served in the Royal Navy. One of his Service Records spells his last name as "Danes".
Life & Career
Born in Lahore.[1]
After failing his gunnery examinations in December 1906, he passed and obtained a third class certificate in May 1907.[2]
Dane was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 31 December, 1908.[3]
Dane was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 31 December, 1916.[4]
Dane was placed on the Retired List as medically unfit on 17 October, 1920 and subsequently promoted to the rank of Commander on 17 November, 1925.[5]
