Lieutenant-Commander (retired) William Henry Woods, R.N. (28 December, 1863 – 27 April, 1934) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Woods was promoted to the rank of Boatswain on 27 February, 1893.

Woods was appointed Boatswain in Command of the gunboat Ant on 10 January, 1909.[1]

Woods was promoted to the rank of Chief Boatswain on 1 April, 1912.

Woods was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 5 November, 1917.

Woods retired on 29 June, 1919, antedated to 28 December, 1918. He was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander (retired) on 5 November, 1925.
