U.S.S. Mackenzie was one of two Mackenzie class torpedo boats completed for the U.S. Navy.
Construction
During a trial voyage on the Delaware River one of Mackenzie's boilers exploded.[8]
Service
Mackenzie was commissioned on 1 May, 1899 with Lt. Lloyd H. Chandler in command.
