Lieutenant Arthur Walter Forbes, D.S.O., R.N. (5 May, 1892 – 2 March, 1918) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
The son of Commander W. B. Forbes, R.N..
Forbes was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 February, 1914.
On 5 April, 1917, Forbes was captain of the submarine C 7 and he sank UC 68 in a night attack near the Schouwen Bank.[1][2]
On 2 March 1918 (his service record thinks the 6th), he was killed when his new command, submarine H 5 was sunk in error.[3]
