Life & Career
As a Lieutenant, he was mentioned in despatches during the Boxer Rebellion.
He was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1916.
In August 1916, he assumed command of the scout cruiser Bellona.[1]
He was appointed command of the light cruiser Cardiff on 7 July, 1917.[2]
He was placed on the retired list on 2 July, 1922.
