Bertram Sutton Evans

Bertram Sutton Evans (17 December 1872 – 2 March 1919) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Evans was a noted cricket-player, batting right-handed.

He served as captain of the battleship Implacable from March to July, 1917.[1]

He was appointed command of the first class protected cruiser Europa on 13 January, 1919.[2]

He died in Paris while travelling to assume command of Europa.
