Captain Cecil Ryther Acklom, C.B., C.B.E., Royal Navy (31 May, 1872 – 12 June, 1937) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Acklom was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant dated 14 April, 1893.[1]
Acklom was Assistant Superintendent at the Royal Gun Factory, Woolwich from 1899 to 1910. In accordance with the provisions of the Orders in Council of 22 February, 1870, and 18 October, 1909, he was placed on the Retired List, at his own request, dated 1 June, 1910.[2]
From 1910 to 1919 he was Superintendent of the Royal Naval Torpedo Factory, Greenock. He was awarded the C.B. in 1910, and appointed a Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) on 11 June, 1919.[3]
