Listed in June 1918 as one of eight light cruisers to receive a Mark III* Dreyer Table, presumably in place at time of completion.[7]

In 1919, she was selected to receive one of the first five Renouf Torpedo Tactical Instrument Type As.[8] These calculators would eventually be discarded as overly complicated.

In June, 1919, Delhi joined the Atlantic Fleet's revamped First Light Cruiser Squadron and became the flagship.

She re-commissioned at Devonport on 18 November, 1924. By mid-1927 she was attached to the First Cruiser Squadron on the China Station.[9]

She completed to full complement at Devonport on 5 December, 1929.[10]

Re-commissioned at Devonport on 20 May, 1932 for service as the flagship of Third Cruiser Squadron in the Mediterranean.[11]

Delhi again completed to full complement at Devonport on 23 April, 1937 for service with the Third Cruiser Squadron in the Mediterranean.[12]
