Hugh Percival Chubb

Commander (retired) Hugh Percival Chubb, (18 September, 1894 – 2 October, 1952) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Chubb was the son of solicitor E.G. Chubb, Esq..[1]
Chubb served in Lord Nelson from May 1912 until being appointed to Iron Duke in 1914. He served in her through 30 March 1915.[2]
Chubb survived the loss of the destroyer Medusa in collision on 25 March 1916.[3]
Chubb was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 September, 1916.[4]
Chubb was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 September, 1924.[5]
Chubb was placed on the Retired List at his own request at the rank of Commander on 1 February, 1935.[6]
World War II
Mobilized on 28 September, 1938, Chubb saw service in the conflict, with many varied appointments.
