Jump to navigationJump to searchCommander R.N.R. (retired) Bertie Bath Oram, R.D., R.N.R. (20 January, 1878 – ) served in the Royal Naval Reserve.
Life & Career
Oram was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant R.N.R. on 13 September, 1910.[1]
After commanding the destroyer Mallard in 1916, an evaluator indicated that Oram would do better in a larger ship. He was put on the books of President and made a D.A.M.S. officer.[2]
Oram was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander R.N.R. on 13 September, 1918. He was demobilised on 13 October 1919.[3]
Oram was placed on the Retired List on account of age at the rank of Commander R.N.R. on 20 January, 1923.[4]
