Commander Redvers Michael Prior, D.S.O., D.S.C.* (29 September, 1893 – ) served in the Royal Navy. He was originally named Michael Courtenay Holland-Pryor before changing his name by deed poll in 1924.

Life & Career

Holland-Pryor was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 July, 1916.

Holland-Pryor resigned his commission and he was transferred to the Emergency List on 5 November, 1919.

Prior was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on the Emergency List on 15 July, 1924.

World War II

Prior was taken as a prisoner of war.

Prior was promoted to the rank of Commander on the Emergency List on 3 September, 1945.
