Rodney Spencer Hewlett
Commander (retired) Rodney Spencer Hewlett, (3 February, 1881 – 25 January, 1956) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Born in Southsea, Hewlett listed his mother as his guardian upon joining the Navy in July, 1895.[1]

A November 1907 Court of Enquiry into the grounding of [illegible... Fawn? Fame? Hewlett applied to have this notation removed from his record, but this was refused.[3]
Hewlett was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 June, 1911. He was placed on the Retired List at his own request on 2 October, 1911.[4]
Hewlett was promoted to the rank of Commander on 11 November, 1918.[5]
