Donald Mansfield

Lieutenant-Commander R.N.R. (retired) Donald Mansfield (10 March, 1880 – ) was an officer in the Royal Naval Reserve.

Life & Career

Mansfield was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant R.N.R. on 27 July, 1915.[1]

In 1916, Mansfield's T.B. 034 collided with T.B. 057, resulting in a caution being issued to the captains of both vessels.[2][3]

Mansfield was appointed in command of the destroyer Kangaroo on 1 January, 1917.[4] Mansfield was granted the acting rank of Lieutenant-Commander R.N.R. on 30 June, 1917. In 1920, it was decided that he would be permitted to retain this rank.[5]
