Temporary Acting Lieutenant-Commander R.N.V.R. Sidney Peck Herivel, O.B.E. ( – ) served in the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve.

Life & Career

Herivel was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant R.N.V.R. on 13 September, 1915. He was reported in command of Devonia.

On 15 April, 1916, he was to take command of Duchess of Buccleugh upon her commissioning. She damaged some pleasure boats on 23 May 1916, and Herivel was told to be more cautious in future.

In December 1916, he commendably brought the small steamer Abos[?] from Murmansk to Hull.

Appointed to command a trawler on 2 March, 1917. By the 16th, this appeared to be Lanercost 3254[?]

Demobilised in July 1919.

Herivel was promoted to the rank of Temporary Acting Lieutenant-Commander R.N.V.R. on 26 July, 1917.

Receiving Order in Bankruptcy 13 September, 1932.
