Captain R.N.R. Francis Joseph Stenson (15 June, 1875 – 17 March, 1940) served in the Royal Naval Reserve.
Life & Career
Stenson was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 20 May, 1904.[1]
Stenson was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 20 May, 1912.[2]
Stenson served as executive officer in the armed merchant cruiser Marmora from 6 September 1916 through 24 October, 1917.[3]
Stenson was appointed in command of the old battleship Hibernia (and possibly Swiftsure) on 9 November, 1917.[4]
Stenson was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1918. He was demobilised on 18 October, 1919.[5]
Stenson was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1924. He was placed on the Retired List on account of age on 15 June, 1930.[6]
