Henry Bouchier Phillimore

Admiral (retired) Henry Bouchier Phillimore, C.B. (25 October, 1833 – 1893) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Phillimore was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 28 June, 1854.[1]

Phillimore was promoted to the rank of Commander on 25 March, 1863 and was promoted quite soon thereafter to the rank of Captain on 14 July, 1864.[2]

Appointed in command of the wooden paddle sloop Sphinx o12 May, 1870.[3]

Phillimore was superseded in command of the wooden paddle sloop Sphinx on 17 November, 1873.[4][5]

He was placed on the Retired List at his own request in August 1875.

Phillimore was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 8 April, 1880.[6]

Phillimore was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral on the Retired List on 24 May, 1887.[7]

Phillimore was promoted to the rank of Admiral on 5 April, 1892.[8]
