H.M.S. H 1 was one of forty-four "H" class submarines completed for the Royal Navy in the 1910s.

Service

In Italian service, H 1 sank Italian submarine H 5 (whose British identity prior to transfer appears to be a mystery) in error on 16 April, 1918 in the South Adriatic.[7]
