H.M.S. Porcupine was one of forty-two "A" class destroyers built for the Royal Navy — a "27 knotter".

Service

She was one of twenty-seven T.B.Ds. of the Portsmouth Flotilla to participate in the Annual Manoeuvres of 1909.

She left the Nore to exercise with five other destroyers and seven torpedo boats of the Nore Defence Flotilla on 18 June, 1912.

In mid-1913, stationed in The Nore.
