Lionel Grant Tufnell

Admiral Lionel Grant Tufnell, C.M.G., Royal Navy, Retired (27 October, 1857 – 11 August, 1930) was an officer of the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Tufnell was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 10 August, 1881.[1]
He was appointed Flag Lieutenant to Rear-Admiral James E. Erskine, Senior Officer on the Coast of Ireland, on 31 December, 1888.[2]
Tufnell was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1895, at the age of thirty-seven years, eight months and three days.[3]
Captain
Tufnell was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1901.[4]
Tufnell was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 3 January, 1911, vice Foley.[5]
Tufnell was advanced to the rank of Admiral on the Retired List on 1 January, 1919.[6]
