H.M.S. Peterel was one of twenty-four "B" class destroyers built for the Royal Navy — a "30 knotter".

Broken up in 1919, her name was eventually taken by a river gunboat launched in 1927.

Service

Peterel participated in the Annual Manoeuvres of 1901 soon after completion.[8]

In mid-1913, active with the Sixth Destroyer Flotilla — a patrol flotilla.[9]
