Admiral SIR Henry Ruthven Moore, G.C.B., C.V.O., D.S.O., R.N. (29 August, 1886 – 12 March, 1978) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Moore was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 January, 1908.

Moore was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 January, 1916.

Post-War

Moore was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1919.

Moore was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1926.

Moore was appointed in command of the light cruiser Caradoc in September, 1928.

Moore was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 11 January, 1938.

Moore was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral on 15 April, 1945.

Moore was promoted to the rank of Admiral on 15 January, 1951.
